Close to Home

Close to Home began when a local group of neighbors recognized domestic violence as an important issue in their community, and gathered together to do something about it. Close to Home has pioneered an innovative approach to community engagement with their campaign to involve grass-roots community members in working for change. Put quite simply, community engagement strategies meet community members where they are (psychologically, emotionally, socially, and physically) and harness community energy and assets on issues that affect them.
